President Holiday Card

Project Summary

Each year the President from Winona State sends out a holiday card to the surrounding community members. In addition, the card is sent to approximately 700 faculty, administrators, donors, and more. This year the holiday card needed to address life returning to campus.

My solution to starting my holiday card was developing a concept. A concept is essentially an idea. And as a designer, it is our job to explain our concept visually through our work. This year, Scott Olsen wanted the card to relate to COVID restrictions having been lifted and campus slowly returning to life. With this in mind, I centered my card around a snow-globe that best represented us during the pandemic. As restrictions started to lift, the inside of the card showcased how the campus began to come back to life with students being in person.
